Another close aide of Patiala’s Royal family appointed Chairperson

Another Patiala Royal family loyalist Gursharan Kaur Randhawa,a former Zila Parishad Patiala chairman has been appointed as the chairperson of the Punjab State Social Welfare Board for a period of three years, as per official communication. Randhawa is the fourth loyalist of CM Punjab and his wife Preneet kaur to be adjusted from Patiala, after Capt Amarinder assumed CM charge. Earlier local politician and staunch supporter  KK Sharma appointed as Chairman PRTC, RP Pandove, Member Administration PSPCL, Sanjiv Garg as Information Commissioner.

As per the order “The Government of Punjab, Department of Social Security Women & Child Development vide their notification No. 5/19/2000/2SS/349-359 dated 04.12.2018 has appointed Gursharan Kaur Randhawa w/o Jaswinder Singh Randhawa, R/o 22-A, New Officer’s Colony, Village Kheri Gujran, District Patiala as Chairperson of Punjab State Social Welfare Board for a period of three (03) years in consultation with Central Social Welfare Board, Ministry of Women & Child Development, New Delhi.”

A spokesperson informed that the order of appointment was personally given by Capt. Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab to Gursharan Kaur Randhawa.  In pursuance of the notification,  Gursharan Kaur Randhawa has assumed the charge as Chairperson of Punjab State Social Welfare Board in the office of the Board situated at Sector 35-A, Chandigarh.

After assuming the charge, Gursharan Kaur Randhawa said that she is well aware of the problems and difficulties faced by woman and children along with other weaker and disadvantaged sections of the society and her first priority as Chairperson of the Board will be their welfare and well being.  She feels obliged being the member of the team of Punjab State Social Welfare Board and conveyed her thanks to the Chief Minister and Ex Minister of State in the Ministry of External Affairs Preneet Kaur for delegating this responsibility to her
