Another first by Punjab govt: 600 SOE students selected for preparation of competition exams-Bains

With the aim to prepare class 11 students of School of Eminence (SOE) for competitive examinations, nine day winter residential camp has been organized.

Giving information in this regard, Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that this camp has been organized at the SOE in Amritsar in which 600 students from various Schools of Eminence are participating and they will be taught 360 strategies for compitative exams.

He said that Bhagwant Singh Mann government has organized a free guiding and counseling workshop for the preparation of competitive examinations for the first time in the history of Punjab

Mr. Bains told that this camp is being organized from 23-12-2023 to 31-12-2023. To participate in this camp, all the students were oriented by the Principals of SOE and they were made aware about the camp, after which about 1500 medical and non-medical students were registered with the consent of parents, after which the test was conducted. Students were shortlisted on the basis of merit.

In this camp, students will be prepared for competitive examinations like IIT-JEE and NEET by teachers from various renowned partner educational institutions.

In this workshop, not only school teachers will give training to the students but renowned tutors from the industry will also guide the students.

The students participating in this winter residential camp will start their day with games and yoga.  After which experts will give training to the students regarding exam preparation techniques. Apart from this, the doubts of the students will also be resolved.

A heritage tour will also be organized for the students during this camp so that they can be connected with the culture and heritage of Punjab.

Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that this is an innovative step by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in the direction of education revolution and this is the first camp of its kind in which the students studying in government schools of the state being prepared for competitive examinations. Many measures are being taken to ensure their bright future.

This initiative of Bhagwant Singh Mann government will make an important contribution in realizing the dreams of poor students and their parents.
