Anti-Drug Rally organized by NCC Unit of Modi College

An Anti-drug rally was organized by NCC Unit at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar and with supervision of Commanding Officer Col. Navjot Kang from 5 Punjab Battalion, Patiala.

Kumar welcomed the NCC Cadets from Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala and Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala. He said that drug menace is killing our imaginative and constructive thinking. While referring to a poem ‘Sab ton khatarnaak hunda hai sade sapneyan da mar jana‘ by Punjabi poet Avtar Singh Pash, he motivated the cadets to channelize their energies for the welfare of the society and utilize it for nation building.

Anti-Drug Rally organized by NCC Unit of Modi College NCC officer of the college and Dean, Students Welfare Prof. (Captain) Ved Parkash Sharma while addressing the cadets said that, it is disheartening to see how punjabi youths are losing their precious lives to drugs. He motivated the students to struggle against such social evils with a fighting spirit. The rally was flagged off by the Principal and Capt. Ved Parkash. The cadets also displayed posters, banners and placards depicting slogans ‘Drug Sabotage the lives’ and ‘No to drugs and yes to life’.

Naib Subedar Paul Singh and Constable Sukhvinder Singh from 5 Punjab Battalion worked hard for organizing this rally. NCC Cadets from Govt. Mohidra College, Patiala Senior Cadet Rajbir Singh, Himanshu, Sandeep Kaur, Rajwant Kaur and Cadets from Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala u/o Sahil Goyal, Sergeant Ankit, Cadet Darshan, Bakshdeep Singh, Harjinder Singh played a key role in making this rally a success.

College Registrar Dr. Ajit Kumar, Prof. Nishan Singh, Head, Sports Department and  Ajay Kumar Gupta played an important part in organizing this rally at Modi College.
