Anti-ragging week observed at MRSPTU

To create awareness among students against ragging, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) observed anti-ragging week from 12th – 19th August 2023.
As per directions of University Grants Commission (UGC), various activities like poster-making, essay writing and logo designing competitions were organized at the MRSPTU.
On the concluding day, Dean, Student Welfare, Dr. Paramjeet Singh apprised students about the menace of ragging, various anti-ragging laws and the steps taken by the University to completely curb the ragging.
The Certificates were given to the winners of various competitions.
The documentary films provided by UGC were also shown to the students.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the UGC has asked the educational institutions to organize orientation and induction programmes against ragging and conduct various competitions on the topic to encourage students to promote anti-ragging measures.
