Appointments Committee of the Cabinet extended service of IPS officers

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension in service of Rajiv Jain, 1980 batch IPS and the senior-most ranking IPS officer of India, Director,Intelligence Bureau for a period of 6 months beyond the present tenure i.e. 30.12.2018.
The committee also extended the service of A.K. Dhasmana, Secretary, Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW) for a period of 6 months beyond the present tenure i.e. 29.12.2018.
The designation of Anil Srivastava IAS (85 MP batch) Advisor ,NITI Aayog re designated as Principal Adviser in NITI Aayog.
Appointments Committee of the Cabinet
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) decides appointments to several top posts under the Government of India. The committee is composed of the Prime Minister of India (who is the Chairman), the Minister of Home Affairs. Originally the Minister in-charge of the concerned Ministry was also the part of the committee but as per the new notification (as on 14 July 2016) the minister of concerned ministry has been excluded from the committee
