Ar. Rajinder Singh Sandhu today elected as Chairman of Indian Institute of Architects, Patiala Center that held at Rajendra Gymkhana Club, Patiala.

The other office bearers of the organisation, elected included Vice Chairman Ar. Amandeep Singh, Honorary Treasurer Ar. Lokesh Gupta, Jt. Hon. Secy. Ar. Rakesh Arora, Executive members Ar. Indu Arora, Ar. Sanjeev Goyal, Ar.Munish Sharma, Ar. Rajnish Walia and  Ar. Sangeeta Goyal.

It is worthwhile to mention that Indian Institute Of Architects is the premium body of Architects, which controls the Architectural practice and education in India. It was Established in 1917 and it has a wide network of Chapters and Centers throughout India and its head office is in Mumbai

The election process is held after two years. This time it was held at Rajendra Gymkhana Club where 40 Architects attended this meeting.

ABOUT IIA

The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is the National body of Architects in the country. Established in 1917, the institute today has more than 20,000 members and plays a major role in promoting the profession of architecture by organising and uniting the Architects of India to promote aesthetic, scientific and practical efficiency of the profession both in Practice and in Education.

IIA is represented on various national and international committees connected with architecture, art and the building industry and is also actively associated with International Union of Architects (UIA) Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) and South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation of Architects (SAARCH).
