Architect Department won overall championship of Jashan–2019 at GNDU

The Inter-Departmental four-days Cultural Festival Competitions Golden Jubilee Jashan – 2019 of the Guru Nanak Dev University Campus has been concluded here today at the Hockey Stadium with great enthusiasm. A large number of Student-artists of the various Departments of the University have participated in this four-day event.
The Architect of the university won the overall championship of Golden Jubilee Jashan – 2019 while the Electronics & Communication department stood second in this event. Similarly, Computer Engg. & Tech. dept. remained third.
Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor presided over and renowned Cardiologist of Amritsar Dr H.P. Singh, Medical Director of Fortis Escorts Hospital was the chief guest who distributed Trophies and Certificates to the winners. Prof. SS Behl, Dean, Students’ Welfare welcomed the chief guest and others. Prof. Dr Geeta Hundal, Convener detailed about the Jashan. Prof. Dr. Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, Registrar and a large number of students, teachers & other officers were present.
On this occasion, University anthem written by Padam Sri Surjit Patar and composed by Prof. Rajesh Kumar of Music Deptt. was also released.
