Armed Forces Flag Day Observed in Patiala; ADC Isha Singhal Honors Ex-Servicemen and Families

On Armed Forces Flag Day, the District Defence Services Welfare Office launched its campaign with a ceremonial pinning of the token flag on Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Isha Singhal. ADC Singhal expressed solidarity with the armed forces and contributed to the Flag Day Fund, emphasizing its importance in supporting soldiers and their families.

In her address, ADC Isha Singhal urged residents of the district to generously contribute to the Flag Day Fund, aligning with the nation’s collective gratitude towards the sacrifices of martyrs who laid down their lives for the country. She noted that the funds are dedicated to supporting the families of martyrs, disabled soldiers. Financial assistance was provided to nine ex-servicemen and their families during the event.

Colonel Jasbir Singh, Vice Chairman of the District Sainik Board, spoke about the significance of Armed Forces Flag Day, stating it as a solemn occasion to honor soldiers and ex-servicemen while showcasing unity with the armed forces. He highlighted the nationwide participation in the Flag Day Fund, where citizens of all ages wear token flags as a tribute to the sacrifices made by the armed forces.
