Baba Farid Group of Institutions signs MoU with Central University of Punjab

Baba Farid Group of Institutions, Bathinda (BFGI, Bathinda) signed a Memorandum of Academic Support (MoAS) with Central University of Punjab Bathinda (CUPB) to promote cooperation in the field of education, innovation and research.

The signing ceremony of MoAS took place at CUPB Ghudda Campus where Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, CUPB, and Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, BFGI, Bathinda signed the partnership agreement in the presence of faculty and officials from both sides.

The objective of this pact is to promote collaboration in the area of joint research, project proposals, faculty/student exchange programmes, and to share educational resources.

While sharing the details of this MoAS, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, BFGI, Bathinda, mentioned that CUPB has established benchmarks in the field of education &research and this association will provide access to the best academic and research facilities available at CUPB to the students of BFGI. He stated that this alliance will also provide an opportunity to faculty of both organizations to share their expertise and work together on joint research projects.

Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, CUPB, shared that this MoAS, will also serve the purpose of ‘RashtriyaAvishkarAbhiyan’ of Ministry of Education as under this agreement, CUPB will provide necessary support to BFGI to organize various activities to inspire & motivate their young teachers & students towards research & innovation. He shared that CUPB is committed to realizing the vision of New Education Policy-2020 by promoting institutional collaboration to enhance skill development& entrepreneurship skills of youngsters and this association is another step in this direction. He expressed his belief that this MoAS will serve as a platform to develop scientific temperament and problem-solving ability of youngsters of Punjab.

On this occasion, Dr. PardeepKaura, Deputy Director Academics, BFGI, Dr. Harpal Singh, Deputy Director Facilities, BFGI, Dr. Manish Gupta (BFGI), K.P.S. Mundra, Registrar, CUPB, Prof. R.K. Wusirika, Dean Incharge Academics, CUPB, Prof. Anjana Munshi, Dean Research, CUPB, and Prof. S.K. Bawa, Director, IQAC, CUPB were present.
