Balidan Diwas Observed at NITTTR Chandigarh

Balidan Diwas celebration was organized jointly by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh and Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Punjab Prant on March 23, 2022. The theme of this celebration was Inculcating Patriotic and Nationalist Values among the Students, Staff and Teachers.

Chief Guest, B. R. Shankaranand, All India Co-joint Secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, delivered a keynote lecture, where he emphasized the contribution of Indian freedom fighters, Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and SukhdevThapar towards independence. He also shared his views on the need to inculcate moral values; recognition of Indian Knowledge Heritage; and the adoption of learner-centred teaching pedagogies based on experiential learning to youth. He encouraged teachers to train students on how to learn new knowledge and help them become physically, mentally and spiritually focused, creative, socially productive, citizens of our country.

Balidan Diwas Observed at NITTTR Chandigarh

Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Pattnaik, Director, NITTTR Chandigarh propounded the relevance of Balidan Diwas in today’s much divided world. He highlighted the value of Indian heritage and principles of Vasudhev Kutumbkum for international peace and prosperity. He stressed on inculcating Patriotic and Nationalist Values among Indian youth. Prof.Pattnaik shared the success mantra as “United we work, Together we achieve and Team we win”.

The programme commenced with the welcome address by Dr.Meenakshi Sood, NITTTR Chandigarh and concluded with the vote of thanks by Sanjay Kausil, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal. It was coordinated by Professor Pankaj Sharma, Dr.Meenakshi Sood, Dr.Balwinder Raj, Vishal Sharma and Ashok Thakur. The institute officials, staff and faculty members participated in this programme.
