Bank of Baroda Ludhiana Zone Inaugurates Two All Women Branches in Punjab on International Women’s Day

In a major step towards women’s empowerment and financial inclusivity, Bank of Baroda, Ludhiana Zone, has inaugurated two All Women Branches in Punjab—one at VIP Road, Zirakpur, and another at East Mohan Nagar, Amritsar—to mark the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The East Mohan Nagar All Women Branch in Amritsar was inaugurated by Sakshi Sawhney, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar, while the VIP Road, Zirakpur branch was inaugurated by Colonel Nutan Chillar, Commandant, Supply Depot, Chandigarh.

A unique feature of these branches is that they will be managed entirely by an all-women staff, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment for women customers. These branches will provide customized banking services, financial guidance, and easy credit access to support women entrepreneurs and professionals in managing their financial goals effectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Hardeep Singh, Zonal Head, Bank of Baroda, Ludhiana Zone, emphasized the bank’s commitment to promoting Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) and financial independence among women. He stated that these branches would serve as a one-stop solution for women-centric banking needs, fostering greater financial awareness and inclusion.

Also present at the event were Sunny Chawla, AGM & Regional Head, Amritsar Region, and Dev Raj Banswal, AGM & Regional Head, Jalandhar Region, who reiterated the bank’s mission to create more opportunities for women through specialized banking initiatives.
