Bathinda resident paid visits at Light and Sound show

Area residents, school children and deputy commissioner B. Srinivasan today paid visits at the Digital Museum, Light and Sound Show being organised by the Punjab Government at Thermal Ground on Goniana Road. Deputy Commissioner said that the show is dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji so that people can learn about the teachings and philosophy of the first guru of Sikhs.

The Deputy Commissioner along with local residents, school students and political leaders visited the museum after which they appeal people to learn about the Guruji’s teachings by paying visit to the show along with their families.

Deputy Commissioner said that the Light and Sound Show will be held on January 16 and 17 from 6 pm to 6:45 pm and 7:30 pm to 8:15 pm while the museum will remain open from 7 am to 5 pm. He said that there is very little chance of seeing such presentations and all should try to reach the venue to learn about the philosphy and teachings of Guruji. The Deputy Commissioner lauded the efforts of the Punjab Government and said that taking advantage of this opportunity, people should attend the Digital Museum and Light and Sound show at Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Ground.

Today was the first day of the show which was attended by the common people and school children. These shows are being conducted in all the districts by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Punjab Government which has a special message for today’s young generation. The teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji are highlighted on the big screen with special techniques in these shows. A replica of Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, the birth place of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Lahore, has also been placed for the visitors.

During the visit of Deputy Commissioner Congress Urban President Arun Wadhavan, Chairman of Improvement Trust K. K. Aggarwal, Pawan Mani, Ashok Pradhan were also present.
