BBMB organised a blood donation camp to commemorate death anniversary of Maj Gen BN Kumar

Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) organized a Blood Donation Camp today i.e. on November 7, 2022 at BBMB Rest House, Sector 35-B, Chandigarh in association with the team from Department of Transfusion Medicine, P.G.I., Chandigarh to commemorate the death anniversary of Ex-Chairman, BBMB Late Maj. Gen. B.N. Kumar and to cater the acute shortage of Blood in the Tricity.

The camp was inaugurated by Er. Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman BBMB. He applauded the efforts of BBMB & PGI teams and congratulated all the donors for this noble cause.

Officers/officials from BBMB as well as general public also donated blood in this camp and total 70 No. units were donated.

Er. B.S. Sabherwal Engineer-in-Chief, Ajay Sharma Special Secretary, Er. Narinder Sharma Superintending Engineer, Er. Rahul Kansal Joint Secretary/Public Relation, Er. Rakesh Gupta XEN/Civil Maintenance, Dr. Tajinder Singh SMO and other officers/officials of BBMB along with team of PGI Chandigarh were also present on this occasion.

About Major General B. N. Kumar

Major General B. N. Kumar was an Indian Army Officer. He was chairman of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB). He was shot dead by militants in Chandigarh in 1988.
