Aditya Singh presented the poster entitled “Phenazine based supramolecular photosensitizing assemblies: A ‘smart’ control on catalytic activity of Pd(II) nanoparticles”. The work describes the role of phenazine based supramolecular assemblies (PPA) which show strong affinity toward Pd2+ ions togenerate the stable nanocatalystPPA@Pdnanoparticles (NPs), which catalysesSuzuki cross-coupled reaction under mild conditions with recyclability up to seven cycles withoutmuch change in the reaction yields. The efficiency ofPPA@Pd NPs to catalyse the Suzuki cross-coupled reactionshas been demonstrated for gram–scale synthesis as well asfor the preparation of unsymmetrically substituted terphenyl. The present work reveals the significant contribution of phenzaine based supramolecular assemblies in overcoming the formation of side products.
