BFCET Students participated in Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Program

Bathinda-To engage the youth across the country and develop their skill and orientation for Swachh Bharat, Government of India has launched the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship – “100 Hours of Swachhata”. This Programme aims to integrate youth in the community service in rural areas by devoting 100 hours till July, 31, 2018 & make a significant contribution to this Swachhata Revolution.

It is a mission to inspire every citizen of India to join hands in the welfare of the country. During this internship, students from various colleges & universities have to adopt village of their own choice across the country & spread the awareness about proper sanitation use, village level development, changing people’s attitude, mind sets and behaviors towards health & hygiene.The successful execution of the expedition would create a ripple in the world.This Programme has a serious plan for economic growth of the country which no one can ignore.

Department of NSS/NCC & Social Welfare, BFCET facilitated these students in executing various cleanliness & awareness activities at Govt. Sen. Sec. School, Deon. Total 65 students of BFCET participated in this Swachh Bharat Internship Programme which inculcated the spirit of voluntary work among these volunteers and society through sustained community interaction. Students acted one Nukkad Natak to aware the youngsters about need of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan & not to throw garbage on roads & keep our surrounding clean.Tree plantation & cleanliness drive was held by students within the school premises. Besides, they have also organized an awareness campaign & a rally with an objective to generate awareness within the village & raised the slogans to support this movement. It is worth mentioning that this is just the beginning & students are enthusiastic to do more similar activities.

Co-ordinator (NSS/NCC & Social Welfare), BFCET motivated the students & shared his valuable experiences with all that how voluntarily service brings the overall personality development of students through community service & Academic Institutions closer to the society.

Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) appericiated these efforts of BFCET and motivated the students to participated in social services voluntarily. At the end, Joginder Singh, Principal, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Deon paid sincere thanks to all the students for actively participating in various Social Welfare Activities.
