Students and staff of Desh Bhagat University and Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital held Path (Recitation) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji for Universal Brotherhood and All-round Progress of the country. All the members of Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the university took part in this religious programme.
While praying for peace, progress and prosperity for the people of the country in particular and whole world in general, university Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur said that our Guru Sahiban showed us the path of honesty, unity, truth and bravery. We must follow their teachings and adopt the way shown by them. They also inspired the staff to contribute strongly for the education of the community and removal of social evils. Dental College Principal Dr. Rajiv Bali informed that the Path was held for thanks giving to the Almighty for the permission granted by the centre and state governments to Dental College for the affiliation with DBU.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh expressed that the Desh Bhagat University endeavours to bring social equality through education and is moving ahead in this direction with sincerity. Provost Dr. Neelima Jerath, Director Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, Director Dr. Surjeet Patheja , Dr. Pooja Gulati and staff members from different faculties including Dental College staff were also present on the occasion. Authorities, staff members and students also participated in the Langer Sewa. All the arrangements were made by students which were appreciated by each and everyone.
