BJP-SAD to contest on all 13 seats at their own level-Jakhar

Saffron Party Punjab state president Sunil Jakhar on Tuesday said the party would contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections alone and would not form an alliance with its old ally Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
As per available information, “the SAD and the BJP were unable to reach a consensus on seat-sharing in the state, so both parties decided to contest 2024 lok sabha elections on their own party symbol.’
“This decision was taken based on the opinion of the people and party workers in the state. The decision was taken keeping in mind the welfare of farmers and businessmen,” Jakhar said in a post on X. Polling for 13 seats in Punjab will be held on June 1.
Jakhar said that the decision was taken on the basis of the opinion of the people and party workers in Punjab. “This decision was taken based on the opinion of the people, party workers in the state,” Jakhar said.
