Bomb Threat: several Delhi schools received threatening mails

Several schools in Delhi and Noida have been evacuated after receiving a bomb threat via email. Police officials are on the site conducting thorough search operations.
A bomb detection unit, bomb disposal team, and team from the Delhi Fire Service have been mobilised to the schools, where they are conducting a search operation. The search teams haven’t found anything suspicious yet.
“Information was received regarding a bomb in Delhi Public School, Dwarka. Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad and fire tenders have arrived on the spot. Search is underway,” Delhi Police said in a statement.
As per available information, many schools in Delhi, Noida has received similar threats. “The mail does not mention a dateline or BCC, which means that one message has been sent to many places. The investigation is ongoing,” it added.
According to Indian Express, around 100 schools in Delhi and NCR received the bomb threat emails. Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Mother Mary School at Mayur Vihar in East Delhi, Delhi Public School in Dwarka and Noida, and Amity International School in Pushp Vihar and Saket are among the schools that received the bomb threats, according to ANI.
According to Delhi Police, efforts are being made to find out the IP address of the threatening email but till now it has not been possible to locate who has sent the email and from where.
On bomb threat to several schools in Delhi-NCR, Delhi Police PRO Suman Nalwa says, “Several schools have approached us that they have received an email regarding a bomb in their campus. Delhi Police has conducted search operations but nothing untoward has been found so far…It seems someone has done this to create panic…I just want to request the parents to not get panicked. We are conducting an investigation regarding the same…”
Some schools of Delhi received E-mails regarding bomb threats. Delhi Police has conducted thorough check of all such schools as per protocol. Nothing objectionable has been found. It appears that these calls seem to be hoax.
