Book release ceremony organised by Khalsa College Patiala

Post Graduate Department of Punjabi and Hindi of Khalsa College, Patiala organised a programme on the book release ceremony of Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal of the college and a renowned figure in the field of Punjabi Literature. His Anthology ‘Teri Aagosh Vich….’ was released by Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, President, Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Sri Amritsar. Dr. Satish Kumar Verma, former Professor and Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Punjabi University, Patiala was the chief speaker during this ceremony. S. Simarjeet Singh, General Secretary, S.G.P.C., Sri Amritsar graced the occasion with his presence.

While congratulating Dr. Ubha, Prof. Badungar said that the poems are highly contemplative from social and spiritual point of views. He further added that Dr. Ubha is contributing not only in the administrative affairs but also in the field of literature. His immense and rich contribution in various fields proves him to be a multifaceted personality. He is also source of inspiration for the young minds.

Dr. Satish Kumar Verma while expressing his views on poetry said that poetry is a light giver of knowledge which helps to elevate the mind of its readers. This anthology truely complies with the canon of poetry and inspires others to introspect their inner selves.

Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha said that he felt great pleasure on the release of his anthology. This is the fifth anthology contributed by him to the world of literature. Apart from this, he has translated five books of English Literature into Punjabi language and of Sikhism. Present anthology reflects upon spiritual aspects of the human life.

Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, conducted the stage. On this ceremony, Heads of various departments, faculty members and students were present.
