Brahm Mohindra files defamation case against Simarjeet Bains
Patiala-MLA Patiala (Rural) and Punjab Health Minister Brahm Mohindra files a defamation case against MLA Atam Nagar Constituency in Ludhiana, Simarjit Bains of Lok Insaf party, which made alliance with Aam Admi Party in 2017 assembly District Court, Patiala here on Wednesday.
Brahm Mohindra filed a defamation case against him for leveling false allegations regarding purchase of medicines. Brahm Mohindra came in a personnel capacity along with lawyers and close confident at around 12:30 and filed the defamation case against Simarjeet Singh Bains, as he is a resident of Patiala.
Lok Insaf Party (LIP) president Simranjeet Singh Bains, recently alleged that many drug de-addiction centres were being forced to purchase medicines from a pharmaceutical company related to Brahm Mohindra, Health Minister Punjab. The party leaders even burnt an effigy of the minister . Bains alleged that the officials are misusing their positions and have formed a nexus.
After the allegations leveled by Simarjeet Singh Bains against the Health Minister, Mohindra said: “Bains should prove his allegations within 15 days or I will file a defamation case against him. I am ready for inquiry by any agency. All these allegations are baseless.” After the expiry of the notice period, toady Brahm Mohindra filed the defamation case
