Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains’ unique initiative, every information of villages will be available in digital map

Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to providing the best facilities to the people of the state. The current government is developing and expanding the villages of state with modern technology, making available the basic amenities needed for today’s era. A comprehensive plan has been prepared to make available digitally the information of modernization of cities and villages along with their modernization. Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains has started this initiative from village Gambhirpur of Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency. In the first phase, maps and details of 20 more villages are being digitized. These maps will be displayed outside the village so that visitors can get complete information about the village.
Ishan Choudhary, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Sri Anandpur Sahib, said that a digital map of the village is being prepared through satellite, which will include details of village streets, drains, their length, width, sewerage, water supply, streets, roads, and drains. The map will also include information about the village’s geographical area, its demography, and the status of its community center, samshan ghat, and other amenities. Additionally, the digital map will provide information about the houses and residences of the people living in the village. Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains has launched this initiative from his hometown Gambhirpur. This digital map will be very useful for visitors to the village and will be displayed outside the village. Advanced technology has been used to create this map, and it has been prepared according to expert advice.
With the preparation of this digital map, various departments will be able to easily access the latest information about the village’s development, including its current situation, population, and census data, especially during the construction of roads and streets, water supply, and sewerage pipeline laying. This map will be very useful. The people of the area have specially thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains for the government’s unique initiative.
