Cardio Surgeon Dr Bedi delivers guest lectures at Medinspire-19 conference

Dr Harinder Singh Bedi, chief consultant- cardio vascular endovascular & thoracic sciences at Shalby Hospital, Mohali has delivered 2 guest lectures at the prestigious 3-day Medinspire 2019 mega conference which was concluded at DY Patil University, Mumbai.
In conference, which is one of the largest medical international multi-disciplinary summits, Dr Bedi delivered lectures on cardio vascular and thoracic surgery.
He delivered his first lecture on beating heart arterial bypass surgery, in which he is pioneer with having done the world’s first series of 100 patients with multi-vessel beating heart surgery with angiographic follow-up.
This technique was published in the medical journals and in the Limca Book of World Records.
His second lecture was on 3D printing technology for treating a large lung malformation.
The lectures were much appreciated by a large national and international gathering of heart surgeons including Dr Prof Alistair Royse from Australia, Dr Carlos from Zurich, Dr Asai from Japan and Dr KM Cherian from Chennai.
Dr Bedi has started the first heart surgery centre in the private sector in Punjab in 1995. He has a number of other world first surgeries which have made cardio vascular surgery safe and predictable . He has got extensive training in heart and lung transplants while working at the St Vincents Hospital in Australia .
Dr Bedi has also innovated a procedure which is named as The Bedi-LIMA buttress technique.
Meanwhile all such procedures are being carried out in Shalby Hospital, Mohali by Dr Bedi and a Heart Team .
