Carelessness or ignorance: for union govt retired IAS is still advisor to Chandigarh’s administrator

Today, on November 3 ,2023  the ministry of personnel has released the list of chief secretaries of all the states and advisors to the administrators of the union territories.

As per the list Dharam Pal,IAS is still the advisor to Chandigarh’s administrator Banwari Lal Purohit.

Dharam Pal, IAS of 1988 batch of AGMUT has already been retired last month. He served the city beautiful for more than two years. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is yet to name his replacement .

As the Administration awaits the ministry of home affairs (MHA) order in this regard, 2000-batch Haryana-cadre IAS officer and UT’s home secretary Nitin Kumar Yadav will hold the additional charge of the post of UT Adviser.

Carelessness or ignorance: for union govt retired IAS is still advisor to Chandigarh’s administrator. Few months ago when VK Janjua retired as chief secretary of Punjab the ministry has done the same goof up. They show Janjua as the chief secretary in their list whereas Anurag Verma had already been appointed as next chief secretary and taken the charge.

As per GoI, VK Janjua (Retd.) is still the present chief secretary of Punjab
