Catch 22 situation for Punjab government as Chairman BBMB refuse to accept govt orders

In less than 24 hours and in a surprise move, the Chairman of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has written letter to the principal secretary Water Resources department, Punjab refusing to accept the posting of Harinder Pal Singh Bedi as secretary, BBMB.
The principal secretary, Punjab Water Resources department has issued an official order of Harinder Pal singh, chief engineer water resources department as secretary, BBMB on January 24,2025.
But, today the chairman of the BBMB has said in a letter to principal secretary, Punjab water resources department that the appointment of Harinder Pal Singh Bedi as secretary,BBMB are not as per the provision/rules of the board
Earlier, Haryana government has to withdraw the appointment of Rakesh Chauhan as member irrigation within 24 hours of its appointment.
As per sources “now the State government has to withdraw the appointment of Harinder Pal singh Bedi as secretary, BNMB.”
