CBSE announces 2021 board exams dates and mode of examination

Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday announced that Central board of secondary exams (CBSE) class 10th and 12th board exams 2021 will be held from May 4 to June 10 and the results will be declared by July 15. He also informed that the practical exams will begin from March 1.

The minister announced the dates through a live video on his social media accounts.

Due to covid pandemic, this year, the academic year started a bit late and classes were held online, that’s why the exams are going to be held from May 4 to June 10. Normally, every year, the board exams used to begin from the month of February and end in March and the results were declared by the month of May. He had also confirmed that board examination will be held in offline mode only, as always.

The minister had clarified earlier that there is no possibility of conducting the board examination till February. He had also confirmed that board examination will be held in offline mode only, as always.

Pokhriyal said that students, teachers and schools are facing an unprecedented and uncertain situation due to the Covid-19 epidemic but teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure that students do not face any difficulty in their studies. He appreciated the teachers for working hard and for adopting new techniques and methods of teaching. He highlighted that Government has also taken various steps to provide a platform and content for learning through digital medium.

Pokhriyal said that the decision on the dates have been taken after considering the suggestions given by students, teachers and parents.
