“Celebrating Dedication, Community, and Togetherness” at Govt Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala

The faculty and staff of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala, organized a heartfelt get-together under the guidance of College Principal Prof (Dr) Kusum Lata to honor the dedication and service of Balbir Singh(Junior Assistant), who, after being promoted and transferred to District Education Office is set to retire on 31st December 2024.
The event celebrated his invaluable contributions to the institution sharing fond memories and expressing gratitude for his years of commitment. A token was presented as a symbol of respect and admiration. Balbir Singh attended this program with his family and thanked everyone for their support.
The gathering concluded with group photos and refreshments, leaving lasting memories for all involved.
The Deaf Community in Patiala celebrated Christmas on 25.12.2024 at Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, focusing on promoting awareness, inclusion, and the unique culture of the Deaf community.
There were around 200 people who gathered to celebrate Christmas There were cultural Performances through Sign language poetry, drama, and dances. Drawing, storytelling, and debate competitions in sign language.
These events aim to highlight the importance of accessibility, inclusivity, and celebrating the identity of the Deaf community.
