Central University of Punjab issues appointment letter to 27 recruits under PM Rozgar Mela

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, launched the first phase of the ‘Rozgar Mela’, a recruitment drive for 10 lakh central government jobs, on Saturday. Rozgar Mela is the Prime Minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities to the youth and ensure the welfare of the citizens. More than 75000 persons got appointment letter for various jobs in this PM Rozgar Mela.
Actualizing the vision of our PM Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission, is conducting recruitment drives to fill up vacant positions. The University, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, has handed over appointment letters to 27 recruits under the PM Rozgar Mela launched on the Diwali festival.
As per the CUPB Recruitment Office, the posts on which the appointments are being made include 21 regular teaching positions (1 Professor, 14 Associate Professor and 6 Assistant Professor); 1 contractual teaching position (1 Assistant Professor); 3 contractual teaching positions under the Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence; and 2 guest faculty positions.
On this occasion, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice-Chancellor, stated that the Central University of Punjab is committed to empowering our youth with quality education and knowledge-based research through qualified faculty members. He emphasized that the university, under the directions of the PM, is conducting a series of recruitment drives in mission mode to fill up the vacant positions, so as to provide wider opportunities for education and research to citizens.
