Chess in schools,launched by Chess Federation in Punjab

Chess in schools programmed has been launched by the All India Chess Federation in Punjab.President of Punjab State Chess Association Prof Bikramjit Singh Sandhu while talking to the media persons here at Fatehgarh Sahib told that Bharat Singh Chauhan  ,Honorary Secretary ,All India Chess Federation ( AICF ) launched Chess in Schools programme in Punjab along with Grand Master RB Ramesh and International Chess Master  Vishal Sareen .

Chess in schools,launched by Chess Federation in Punjab

Bharat Singh Chauhan said that AICF will provide free training in collabiration with MHRD to the Teachers of Government schools of Punjab by organising 3 days workshops under the programme Chess in schools. Approximately 500 teachers will be provided free training under the programme so that they can teach chess to the young students.

Prof Bikramjit Singh said  that Punjab State Chess Association  will make necessary arrangements as per guidelines of the All India Chess Federation.

FIDE chess Master Ashwani Tiwari , international Arbiter  Rajinder Sharma , Secretary of Punjab State Chess Association Muneesh Thapar , other Chess officials  and Chess Trainers from Punjab , Himachal & Chandigarh were also present on the ocassion
