Chief Director Vigilance Transfer: after senior IAS, IPS officer too transferred within few days from key posting

It might be a coincidence that after aam aadmi party’s defeat in Delhi, Chief Director Vigilance Varinder Kumar, IPS was transferred and G Nageshwar Rao , IPS was appointed as the new vigilance bureau chief. Now, after Manish Sisiodia takes over as the reins of aam aadmi party in Punjab, vigilance chief G Nageshwar Rao is transferred and SPS Parmar is appointed as the new head of vigilance bureau.
Today, Punjab government has issue a transfer order of G Nageshwar Rao, IPS, chief director vigilance and posted him as ADGP, Provisioning, Punjab . Another ADGP rank officer SPS Parmar is appointed as the new chief vigilance director.
Nageshwar Rao was appointed Chief Director Vigilance on February 17,2025. In just 37 days he is sfifted from key department and is replaced with SPS Parmar.
Parmar is the third chief director vigilance in AAP’s government. Varinder Kumar, IPS was appointed Chief Director Vigilance on May 30,2022. He remained on the key post till February 17,2025 when the state govt appointed G Nageshwar Rao as the next chief. Today, Parmar is the third vigilance chief in AAP’s tenure.

G Nageshwar Rao has transferred many district heads, SSPs of vigilance bureau in the state after taking over the assignment.
Similarly, Jaspreet Talwar, IAS was appointed additional chief secretary cum Financial Commissioner Taxation on March 3,2025. She was also given the charge of ACS Planning. But within 22 days, an all important Taxation department was taken from her on March 25,2025. She was given mines and geology, jails and justice along with planning.

Also a powerful IAS officer Gurkiratkirpal Singh of 2001 batch who was holding the charge of Administrative Secretary, Home Affairs and in addition Administrative Secretary, Mines & Geology and in addition Commissioner, Gurudwara Elections, Punjab, goes powerless again as all the three departments are given to three other IAS officers and in lieu of this no posting is given to him.
SPS Parmar, IPS is going to retire on September 30,2026 and G Nageshwar Rao on April 30,2027
