Clarivate Analytics India Research Excellence Awards at GNDU

Guru Nanak Dev University was awarded the Clarivate Analytics India Research Excellence – Citation Awards 2019 (powered by Web of Science) in the field of Agricultural Sciences under both the categories of INSTITUTION and INDIVIDUAL.
Prof. Narpinder Singh, and Dr Amritpal Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Science and Technology were awarded this award under Individual Category. This 7th edition of the award is one of the five institution-level awards for research in specific subject areas. Dr. Narpinder Singh, Director of Research and Prof. & Head, Dept. of Food Science & Technology, GNDU received the award under institution category on behalf of University and the individual award along with Dr. Amritpal Kaur, Assistant Professor in the award ceremony in Hotel Sheraton, Saket, New Delhi.
Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology was Chief Guest and Dr Bhushan Patwardhan, Vice Chairman, UGC was present as a special guest. India Research Excellence – Citation Awards are part of the ongoing efforts by Clarivate Analytics to recognize and honour research excellence in the country and are announced once every 2 or 3 years. These awards recognize Individuals and Institutions who have made outstanding pioneering research contribution in designated categories and have had significant influence over the research in that area. Impact and influence of research is determined by analysis of research citations as captured in the Web of Science scholarly research database.
