CM Punjab appealed people to remain indoor for next 24 hrs

Capt Amarinder Singh tweeted and appealed to the residents of Punjab to remain inside their houses. He tweeted “‘I appeal to the people to exercise restraint. During the next 24 hours they should move out of their houses only if it is unavoidable.’
In view of the incessant rains and looming flood threat, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has also announced the closure of all the schools i.e govt., aided, private, anganwari and colleges on Tuesday September 25.
Earlier in the day Capt Amarinder chaired an emergency meeting in which Health & Family Welfare Minister Brahm Mohindra, Revenue & Water Resources Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Animal Husbandry Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, Food & Civil Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Media Advisor to CM Raveen Thukral, along with heads of Home, Health & Family Welfare, Development, Water Resources, Expenditure, Food & Civil Supplies participated.
Also the flood gates of Sukhna lake were opened in the afternoon. That water has already reached Mohali
