CM takes resignation of Punjab Cabinet Minister

Punjab cabinet minister Laljit Singh Bhullar has resigned from the cabinet. He resigned after the chief minister sought his resignation immediately after the tragic incident of district manager (DM) of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation (PSWC) Amritsar, Tarn Taran Gagandeep Singh Randhawa committing suicide, allegedly under unde pressure from one of Punjab’s Cabinet Minister was flashed.
Earlier in the morning a video of Randhawa accusing Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar to do illegal work was circulated. The video seems to be made by Randhawa himself, before committing suicide.
As per initial reports Randhawa committed suicide by eating Celphos today morning at Amritsar.
A government spokesperson confirmed that CM Mann has ordered a formal inquiry into the circumstances leading to the official’s death and any involvement of the MLA.The spokesperson added that the CM has made it clear that no irregularity by anyone will be tolerated.
As per unconfirmed reports, he is forced to clear a godown where high tension wires of 66 KV were passing above the godown. Even the minister humiliated him for not clearing the godown site (royalpatiala.in New didn’t confirm these allegations on its part)
The incident triggered intense backlash, with opposition leaders—including Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia—amplifying the allegations on social media.
