Col. Bath assault case: family lift dharna after assurance from govt

Just a few minutes ago, the protesting family of Col. Pushpinder Singh Bath has lifted the dharna from outside deputy commissioner, Patiala’s office. The family of Col Bath was sitting on dharna since Saturday, March 22,2025.

Today the family forwarded a memorandum to deputy commissioner Patiala demanding a personal hearing, meeting with chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

CM Mann has invited the aggrieved Bath family for a meeting on March 31,2025 at 12:00 noon at his Chandigarh residence.

A written meeting letter is handed over to Jaswinder Kaur Bath, wife of Pushpinder Singh Bath by ADC (G) Patiala at dharna site.

After receiving the letter,  the family decided to lift the dharna.

Jaswinder Kaur Bath said “ I along with my son, husband and one member of the union who supported us in the dharna will go to meet the chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. If our demands of CBI enquiry and transfer of SSP Patiala Nanak Singh is not met, we will again sit on dharna from April 1,2025.”
