The Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust has continued its relentless support for flood victims. On Monday, relief material and fogging machines were dispatched from the Trust’s Patiala headquarters to various affected areas.

Managing Trustee Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi said the Trust has been actively engaged in relief work since the onset of floods. Initially, ration kits were distributed, followed by immediate arrangements for bottled water, mosquito nets, sanitary pads, fodder for livestock, and tarpaulins.

Dr. Oberoi emphasized that fodder for cattle is one of the top priorities, and continuous supply of green fodder and tarpaulins is being ensured. In the second phase, the Trust has initiated the supply of medical kits and nearly two dozen fogging machines to safeguard health and prevent mosquito-borne diseases. These machines will soon be deployed in the worst-hit regions.

Volunteers of the Trust are working tirelessly in all flood-affected districts. Even in unaffected districts, volunteers are reaching out to help flood victims. Dr. Oberoi himself has visited several villages, assessing conditions and stressing the urgent need for large-scale rehabilitation and reconstruction.

He said, “While the government is doing its part, the role of social service organizations is equally vital. The Trust will support families whose houses have been damaged, whether for repair or complete reconstruction.”

Dr. Oberoi also added that needy families would be provided with essential household or business items as per requirement.

Present at the dispatch of relief material were Trust President Jassa Singh Sandhu, General Secretary Gagandeep Singh Ahuja, Director of Health Services Dr. D.S. Gill, Surinder Singh, and other members.
