Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala has attained the distinction of being the only government hospital in the region, where  Dialysis facility had been made available for COVID patients suffered with Kidney disease. By conducting 46 dialysis of COVID positive patients so far, the medical team has once again proved their worth.
According to the Doctors at Rajindra Hospital, the patients suffering from kidney disease  and also undergoing dialysis, COVID-19 may cause even more problems.  Divulging more details, the principal of the Government Medical College Dr.  Harjinder Singh said that keeping in view, the health condition of such patients, a special COVID ICU at Rajindra Hospital was started.  For this Special arrangement has been done by setting up Dialysis unit at COVID ICU and dialysis of one or two patients is being done daily, he added.

Dr. Harjinder Singh said that under the Mission Fateh launched by the Punjab Government against COVID-19, under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, in-charge of Isolation facility teams  of Rajindra Hospital, Member Doctors, Para Medical Staff and Health Workers always remained active in the service of patients.  He said that so far 46 dialysis of 24 kidney disease patients with COVID positive have been done and at present 10 such patients have been admitted here.

Medical Superintendent Dr.  Paras Pandov informed that Dr.  Sachin Kaushal with his team is monitoring dialysis patients.  He said that the patients at Rajindra Hospital were admitted in critical condition where they need immediate attention of the doctors.  He said the dedicated medical and para medical staff deputed at COVID ward was taking care of kidney disease COVID positive patients continuously to keep them stable and healthy.
