Coronavirus effect-Sirhind crafts mela 2020 called off; Sartaj nite postponed

Keeping in view the advisory issued by the State Govt. regarding Coronavirus and acting upon the same further directions issued by Amrit Kaur Gill, Deputy Commissioner, Sirhind Crafts Mela-2020 was called off and the cultural evening on 14/03/2020 and the Sartaj Nite which was going to be held on 15/03/2020 (Sunday) at Aam Khas Bagh, Sirhind has been postponed.
Disclosing this Jaspreet Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, said due to “Coronavirus effect-Sirhind crafts mela 2020 called off; Sartaj nite postponed and the tickets of Sartaj Nite would be valid for the next show which would be organised in the future. The new date of event will be intimated to general public through media.”
Fatehgarh Sahib District administration organized a week long,from March,7,2020 till March 15,2020 Sirhind Craft Mela at a heritage site of mughal era- Aam Khas Bagh, Sirhind where craftsman from pan India displayed their artifacts.
Residents of Fatehgarh Sahib district appreciated the efforts of the district administration for organising a Craft, Heritage and cultural mela for the first time where people from surrounding districts too come to Sirhind and attended the heritage,craft mela where glimpses on mini India was created by craftsman from pan India and Punjabi folk and sufi singers enthralled the audience.
