Covid-19 updates; with new cases centre govt admits spike in cases in Punjab

As per health department official’s 358 positive cases in Punjab, after the release of yesterday’s media bulletin at 8:00 pm. Yesterday 385 cases were reported. With these 358 new cases the tally rose to 178111 cases, as per health bulletin released at around 8:00 pm today. On 17 Feb 341 cases, on 18 Feb 278 cases and today on 19 Feb 385 cases reported in Punjab.
“India’s present active caseload now consists of 1.30% of India’s total Positive Cases. India’s total Active Caseload is pegged at 1,43,127 today. Some States are seeing an upsurge in daily new cases. There has been rise in daily cases in Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh”. Five States account for 78.22% of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (44). Kerala reported 15 deaths. Punjab has reported another 8 casualties. said centre govt spokesperson.

Today 264 patients were discharged in Punjab, and the cured patients tally reaches at 169480. Total active cases in Punjab are 2883.
