CSRI-SGGSWU celebrated Successful Landing of Chandrayan-3

Centre for Scientific Research and Innovation Cell of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University (CSRI-SGGSWU) organized a one day awareness programme to celebrate the ‘Successful Landing of Chandrayan-3 in South pole of the Moon’.

During this event, Dr. PritPal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University had delivered Presidential Address in which he emphasized on the achievements of ISRO for the betterment of mankind and mission Chandrayan-3 is one of these milestones. He said that the achievement has gained more importance as this is the first lunar mission worldwide to land on the south pole of the moon.

Dr. Preet Kaur, Subject Expert from Physics department briefed the students regarding space exploration, lunar missions and Physics behind the launching and landing of Chandrayan-3. She also discussed the achievements of different women astronaut’s in exploring the Universe.

Students were also shown videos of launching and landing of Chandrayan-3 as available on ISRO youtube channel. During the programme, a poster making competition was also organized in which about 150 students from different courses participated. Loveneet Kaur, Sandeep Kaur and Parneet Kaur bagged first, second and third prize respectively in the competition.

Dr. Tejbir Singh, Chairman CSRI-SGGSWU congratulated the winners of Poster making competition and expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries presented in the programme leading to the grand success of the event. Visualizing the curiosity and passion of the Students, he ensured that CSRI-SGGSWU Team will definitely organize more such awareness and innovative events in near future.

CSRI-SGGSWU celebrated Successful Landing of Chandrayan-3. Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean Academic Affairs congratulated the CSRI-SGGSWU team for successful organization of the event and emphasized on the dire need of regularly organizing such events for promoting scientific and innovative temperament among the students.
