Dainik Jagran Resident Editor Amit Sharma awarded for unblemished record in Journalism

Himachal Pradesh Cabinet Minister Varinder Kanwar and  Himachal BJP President Satpal Satti honouring Dainik Jagran Resident Editor, Amit Sharma, with National Integration Award for unblemished record and excellence in Journalism during 45th Annual Congregation of ‘The Himotkarsh Parishad’ during a glittering function held in Una district.

HP Chief Secretary B.K. Aggarwal and renowned Cardiologist from PGI Chandigarh, Dr Sandeep Rana were other recipients of awards in public service and medical field category. They are among the seven personalities who have been named as recipients of the prestigious National Integration Awards being annually conferred by Himachal Pradesh’s oldest and prestigious organization ‘The Himotkarsh Parishad’ The martyr Brijesh , who laid down his life during anti terror operations in Kashmir last year , was awarded  posthumously conferred upon the award in bravery section.

Operating in hill state since 1974 Himotkarsh instituted the awards in 1988 and has since then bestowed the honour to India’s top personalities and organizations for their excellence in their respective areas of functioning.  Himotkarsh spokesperson Jatinder Kanwar said “the awards were conferred upon during organization’s 45th annual congregation that held in Una district”
