Date extended for applying Online Post Matric Scholarship

The Punjab Government has increased the date of applying online for the post Matric scholarship for the year 2018-2019 by 31 October 2018.
Dharamsot further elaborated that the department had invited online applications till October 15, 2018 from the students hailing from the State belonging to the SC/BC category for availing Post Matric scholarship scheme benefits. He said that due to technical faults, Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal could be started on October 8, 2018 instead of October 1. He said that reports have been pouring in that SC/BC Students are facing difficulty in getting income certificates. He said that keeping the above situation in mind, the date of online applications has been extended.
Dharamsot further said that now the eligible students can apply online through Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship portal on the www.scholarships.gov.in website till October 31, 2018 for new as well as the renewal applications pertaining to the 2018-19 session. He said that the educational institutions would rectify the applications and send them to the sanctioning authorities till November 30, 2018. The sanctioning authorities would forward all the cases to their concerned departments by December 10. He also said that the concerned departments can send their cases to the Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Affairs Ministry till 20th December and the portal would be closed on 20th December, 2018 at 10 PM.
