The ambience of DAV Patiala echoed with the thumbing ecstatic sound of dhols and merry making as soon as the news of winning and grabbing DAV National level – 2017 sports Trophy (Shooting) broke. It was a prestigious venture which was organized at Police DAV Ambala from 14th Dec -16th Dec 2017.
The venture was embellished with number of sports events such as Cricket, Shooting, Skating , Boxing during this endeavor more than 3000 sports stars participated from various DAV schools all over India.
The sports stars of DAV Patiala with their splendid performance grabbed 11 gold,2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

The Outstanding moment proved to be when Boxing Star of the school Komal won Gold Medal at International Tournament at Nadvirna Ukraine held from 12th to 16th Dec., 2017 in Junior Women Indian Team. In addition to it Peep Shooting team including Paarul Pandit, Ishan Bansal & Shivam Kakria also captivated Overall Trophy & won Gold & Silver Medals individually at DAV National Sports – 2017 (National Level – Boys), they are further representing on Open National Level. Ashveen Kaur also captivated Silver Medal in skating In SGFI National held at Belgaum Karnatka (U-19)
Principal S. R. Prabhakar while congratulating the winners, parents and mentors Mr. Pritpal Singh, Mr. Lal Singh and Ms. Nitima Rani quoted that DAV Institutions have already been protagonist to promote the sports culture, the success of this event speaks volume about the sheer hard work put up by the sports stars. He further expressed his desire to see these dazzling stars shining at International level and explore new horizons with new heights.
