DC invites govt school students aspiring to become civil servants; students give feedback to DC on school improvements

In a heartwarming and motivational gesture, Deputy Commissioner, Patiala Dr. Preeti Yadav today invited meritorious students from government schools-aspiring to become civil servants-to sit on her chair and experience the responsibilities of administrative leadership. These students had secured top positions in the Class XII district merit list.
Congratulating the students at her office, Dr. Preeti Yadav encouraged them to pursue their dreams with determination and discipline. “If you stay focused and away from distractions, no dream is too big,” she said. She emphasized that success is not defined merely by academic excellence, money, or fame-but by being a good and compassionate human being. “Helping others and contributing to society is the true measure of success,” she added.
The Deputy Commissioner honored 12 meritorious students and familiarized them with the working of the district administration. She also announced that career counseling support would be provided to them through the District Bureau of Employment and Entrepreneurship to help them plan their future paths.
During the interactive session, All the meritorious students shared their future aspirations-some expressed a desire to join the civil services, while others aimed to become teachers, doctors, and professionals in various fields. Students also shared feedback and suggestions for improving infrastructure in their respective schools. Responding promptly, Dr. Preeti Yadav approved and released Rs 5 lakh each for the development of playgrounds in Government Schools of Badshahpur Kaleki, PM Shri School Devigarh, and Samana. She also accepted the proposal to construct an auditorium at the Meritorious School, Patiala, along with other student demands.
The students, Manisha, Manpreet Kaur, Bhanu Kapoor, Husanpreet Kaur, Nishtha Mittal, Harjot Kaur, Jashandeep Singh, Nirjala Yadav, Harsimran Kaur, Jashanpreet Singh, Narinderpal Kaur, and Khushpreet Kaur were felicitated by DC.
