DC Mohali issues instruction to shopkeepers; four wheelers permitted

SAS Nagar (MohalI) District Magistrate Girish Dayalan today ordered that in accordance with the revised timings of the opening of shops as declared by the State Government with effect from 15th May, 2020, the shops and commercial establishments in the district
shall open from 7 am – 6 pm. The vehicles must be avoided.
Earlier, the timings were from 7 am – 3 pm.
He also added that the movement of persons shall be allowed only to and from workplace from 7 am – 7 pm on producing ID card issued by the employer.
Besides, nobody shall move unnecessarily for non essential work.
The timings of the public dealing in banks would be from 9 am – 1 pm.
The four wheelers shall be allowed with a maximum of two passengers besides driver only for permitted activities and pillion riders on two wheelers are not permitted.
DC Mohali issues instruction to shopkeepers; four wheelers permitted. Any violations would invite criminal proceedings under the relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
