DC Patiala relaxes norms for shop openings; issues revised orders; eateries opened

DC Patiala cum District Magistrate Kumar Amit ordered that in accordance with the revised timings of the opening of shops as declared by the State Government with effect from 15th May, 2020, the shops and commercial establishments in the district
Shops shall open from 7 am – 6 pm. The vehicles must be avoided. Earlier, the timings were from 7 am – 3 pm.
He also added that the movement of persons shall be allowed only to and from workplace , on producing ID card issued by the employer. Besides, nobody shall move unnecessarily for non essential work.
Any violations would invite criminal proceedings under the relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
