Delhi Public School organised a play night named “Razzmatazz” at the Harpal Tiwana Auditorium for Performing Arts. Razzmatazz was the maiden theatrical venture by the students of DPS Patiala. NeenaTiwana, the Chairperson of Harpal Tiwana Foundation honoured the function by being its Chief Guest.
The evening comprised of 3 full length plays being staged. The first presentation was the Shakespearean Classic “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream”, followed by a play in Hindi – “Nir Nirupan” highlighting the water crisis. The third play in Punjabi focussed on the Societal Evils which are plaguing our roots in Punjab and was thus aptly titled “Koodah”.
Neena Tiwana appreciated the students for their splendid performance stating that the performances were synonymous with “Razzmatazz” and appreciated the school management for promoting acting and performing arts.
The guest of Honour Anant Dehadrai gave away the student awards and the rolling trophies for the Best Houses as well. Parents and other dignitaries enjoyed the performances and applauded the efforts of the students. Ramesh Talwar, PVC, DPS Patiala and S. N. Shukla, the Principal of DPS Patiala, appreciated the students and teachers for the success of the maiden theatrical venture.
