‘Dheeyan di lohri’ Celebrated at Govt. College of Education, Chandigarh

Value added course- Capacity Building on Developing Added Skills towards Employability of Teachers culminated today along with ‘Dheeyan di lohri’ Celebrations at Govt. College of Education, Sector-20, Chandigarh.
‘Dheeyan di lohri’ celebrations were carried out at college with full enthusiasm and rituals like offering of peanuts, popcorn and sweets made of til, chirva, gajak and rewari to holy bonfire. Principal, staff members and students of the college celebrated Lohri with fervour. The ambiance of the venue and celebration was in tune with Lohri festivity.
Organized by the the Placement Cell and MGNCRE Club of the GCE 20 from January 9-13, 2024 (30 Hours), this Value Added Course on Capacity Building and Developing Added Skills towards Employability of Teachers with organized on a specific Theme- FOOD, GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, QUALITY EDUCATION & SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT.
The value added course included sessions deliberated by eminent speakers like Dr. Prabhjot Malhi on Wellbeing, Indu Aggarwal and her team from Talentgro Global on the topic of Artificial Intelligence and Gamification, Prabhjot Attwal on Mental health and drug abuse and Dr. Lipika K. Gulliyani on Millets as boon. The Principal of the college and Patron of the course, Dr. Sapna Nanda, congratulated the Course Coordinator- Dr. Ravneet Chawla, Associate Professor, Incharge MGNCRE Club and Placement cell, and Co-coordinators Dr. Ravinder Kumar, Member MGNCRE Club and Dr. Upasna Thapliyal, Member Placement cell for successful completion of the value added course.
‘Dheeyan di lohri’ Celebrated at Govt. College of Education, Chandigarh. The event was also marked by the appreciation of the winners of the runner-up trophy at the National Dodgeball Championship 2024 by athletes under the leadership and guidance of President and Founder of the Srishti Karma Foundation Harcharan Singh, Alumnus of the college under Sub Junior (Girls and Boys) National Dodgeball Championship through Punjab Dodgeball Association and Principal, Dr. Sapna Nanda with Astinder Kaur Kohli, National Awardee and alumnus of the college honoured the Dodgeball winners for their achievement.
