‘Different Colors of Womanhood’- IMA Patiala celebrates Women’s Day in association with Maharani Ladies Club

Indian Medical Association (IMA) Patiala under the leadership of President Dr Nidhi Bansal and Secretary Dr Amandeep Bakshi invited ladies of Maharani Club to join the celebrations. Office bearers of Maharani Club Kadambri Mittal, Sangeeta Sood and Meenu Goyal were honoured at the ceremony.

Sofina talked about different colors of womanhood.

Dr Nidhi Bansal talked about growing incidents of sexual abuse and domestic violence against women. She invocated women to be the torch bearers of change, to teach boys to be gentlemen and respect every girl, women or lady of any age any stature regardless of her situation. If she is alone, a boy should take this as opportunity to help her feel safe rather than pounce on her! She also encouraged women to talk about abuse as that’s the only way to curb it and asked fellow women to pledge to lend a compassionate hearing and helping heart to someone who is suffering abuse at home or workplace.

Members of Maharani Ladies Club (MLC) Urvashi, Pradeep, Harsh and Mandeep presented a spine chilling musical play ” Ab Bus”  on sexual crime against women and how society is becoming so unsafe even for small girls.

All ladies present took pledge to help work against degradation of moral values of society.

Intense delebrations were followed by Fellowship tea and Holi celebration with Flowers in true spirit of respect for all  colors of women.

Event was coordinated by Dr kiranjot ,Dr Saryu, Dr Janmeet .

President Elect of MLC Kadambri Mittal thanked IMA for such an amazing event to celebrate women’s day.

Event was largely participated with many senior members from IMA including Dr Chander Mohini, Dr Sunita Modi ,Dr Sarita Aggarwal, Dr Monica Varma and  Dr Neelima Sodhi.

Dr Amandeep Bakshi thanked everyone saying that every day is women’s day as men cannot function without women.
