“It’s a life time experience. I came here on a tourist visa to attend convocation of my brother. I got the opportunity to see my idol live performance before my return to India. He (Diljit) is the first person to embrace the Punjabi traditional attire, kurta pyjama with Jordan shoes on the international stage,” said Harsehaj , who is in Canada on a tourist visa.
“In a North American tour that has seen months of pulse-pounding Punjabi rhythms from the West Coast to the East, his fans have been eagerly awaiting the show. We had purchased tickets as soon as they were released” said Jagampal Singh, a Canadian college student.
“From Coachella to Fallon…to the Rogers Centre, Diljit is making Punjabi music recognized all over the world. Punjabi music is more regional music and so I am proud that he is making this music shine all over the world. He started his tour from BC Place in Vancouver and is ending at Rogers Centre in Toronto, making history as the first Punjabi artist to perform in a stadium.” said Simar who came to watch the mesmerizing performance of Diljit along with his friends.
