District administration is lying; no consensus reached to end hunger strike- ETT union

ETT union has condemn the act of district administration Patiala, for declaring that ETT union has reached on consensus to end the hunger strike of agitated ETT union member- Surinder Pal.
“District administration is lying; no consensus reached to end hunger strike- ETT union, as the administration is not giving anything in writing. The administration is verbally accepting our demands” said a union spokesperson.
The union spokesperson added that , “Surinder Pal is on hunger strike from the last 12 days, atop BSNL tower, in scorching heat. His condition is deteriorating and he wants the assurance in writing.” Surinder Pal said to his union members that “I’m not here come for picnic. I’m protesting for a cause. How can I leave my fight, in between, without a written assurance?”
The union member said, “today we are going to meet Capt Sandeep Sandhu, OSD to CM Punjab, Capt Amarinder Singh. Let’s see what the govt do.”
On Wednesday late night , district administration has released a press note, claiming that “the district administration held a meeting with the representatives of ETT union members, at district administrative complex and it was decided to persuade the agitated teacher to end his hunger strike by offering him liquid and food items. The liquid and food items would be delivered to him by the ETT Union so that his continuous deteriorating health to be stopped from further damage.”
The meeting was attended by the DC Kumar Amit, SSP Dr Sandeep Garg, SP (City) Varun Sharma, SDM Patiala Charanjit Singh and representatives of ETT Union, Deepak Kamboj and others.
In the press release, Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Amit said that “as the meeting of the ETT Union with the School Education Minister, Vijay Inder Singla,held a week ago, was summed up in a very positive manner so he hoped the Union would convey the message to Surinder Pal and request him to climb down in the best interests of his health and family . He said that district administration assured the Union to provide all the rescue help, that they need to climb down Surinder Pal from the tower, safely, in wake of his weak physical condition.”
