DMW’s RPF contingent celebrated its foundation day in a noble way-Tomer

On the occasion of 36th Railway Protection Force Raising Day (Sathapna Diwas Week) , A Blood Donation Camp was organized at Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel ,Patiala on the guide lines of RPF Northern Railways, as a part of 36th RPF Raising Day Celebrations on 24.09.2020.
RPS Personnel led by Asst. Commissioner Security R. L. Tomer donated blood at the camp. 23 RPF officers and staff donated blood.
DMW’s RPF contingent celebrated its foundation day in a noble way-Tomer. Speaking on the occasion, Asst. Commissioner Security (ASC) RPF appreciated the gesture by the RPF in conducting blood donation camp for patients/children suffering from Thalassemia disease. Blood donation was one of the best charitable acts and everyone should try to donate blood often.
About RPF
Railway Protection Force (RPF) is a security force, established by the Railway Protection Force Act, 1957; enacted by the Indian Parliament for “the better protection and security of railway property and passenger area”. Group A officer recruited through Indian Railway Protection Force Service (IRPFS) from civil service examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
It has the power to search, arrest, investigate, and prosecute offenses committed under Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act 1966, The Railways Act, 1989 (amended from time to time). However the power of arrests under other penal laws rests in the hands of the Government Railway Police. The force is under the authority of the Indian Ministry of Railways.
